Where is your jewelry made?

All of the jewelry is designed in our Pennsylvania studio and proudly produced in the United States, using the world's finest metals and gemstones.

How long does it take for my jewelry to be made?

We pride ourselves in making and sizing each piece to fit your order, therefore, please allow five business days for your order to be filled, before shipment. If you need a last minute gift, contact us to see what we have available in-stock. If the item you would like is out of stock, please contact us with your preferences and we will let you know as soon as it is available.

Why do some of the stones and pearls vary slightly? 

The high quality precious gemstones, semi-precious gemstones and pearls used are natural elements of the earth with unique markings, inclusions, irregularities and imperfections that create their intrinsic beauty. We hand select each component to ensure that each completed piece is of the same quality as the image shown on the website.  

What do the codes mean next to the gemstones and pearls?

In order to be completely transparent and follow FTC guidelines, we disclose all treatments and changes that are made to gemstones and pearls. Following the Common Disclosure Code of the ICA, here are the codes we use: (B) Bleached, (C)Coated, (D) Dyed, (H) Heat-Treated, (HP)Heat & Pressure, (R) Irradiation. Please contact us if you have any questions about the gemstones or pearls we use.

What are VIELÄ Sentiments?

VIELÄ Sentiments is an exclusive collection of printed cards designed to show words of kindness, encouragement and love with those people you hold most precious. You may choose a complimentary Sentiment, reflective of the thoughts you would like to share, with every item purchased on our website, or in-person at one of our shows. Upon checkout you will be prompted to make your selection for each item. You may edit your selection in your cart, once you have completed your shopping. You can view the Sentiments choices on each product page. VIELÄ Sentiments are printed on recycled cotton paper made from t-shirt offcuts.

How is your jewelry packaged?

Each piece of jewelry is packaged in a dark grey gift box and tied with a simple organza ribbon knot.  Our beautiful earring cards are unique to the jewelry industry. Every pair comes on a 2.5” x 2.5” VIELÄ earring card, with color photography on both sides, referencing the sampled botanical with an original photo. Each card features the name of the piece, the specific materials used in its construction, and the natural texture sampled in its creation. Additionally, you will receive a Jewelry Use and Care Card to instruct you on how to care for your jewelry. Our cuff links are packaged in a custom black velour gift box, suitable for gift giving and storage.

How are your ornaments packaged?

Each of our ornaments are packaged in a metallic silver custom ornament envelope. Additionally, each ornament has a coordinating tag reflective of the sampled botanical. They are all ready for gift giving!

Is there an artist's mark on the jewelry?

Most necklaces have a sterling custom marked VIELÄ tag attached to the clasp.

Can I order your jewelry as a gift for someone else?

During checkout, you can choose separate billing and shipping addresses. Be sure to choose your complimentary VIELÄ Sentiments card to share your thoughts with your recipient. Use the "Notes" field to describe a personal message you'd like to include for the recipient and we will include it for you. For gift orders, the receipt will be sent to the billing address, unless otherwise specified during purchase. Shipping charges are determined based on each individual shipping address to which pieces are sent. 

Can I have your jewelry gift wrapped?

Our standard packaging has been designed with gift giving in mind.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express directly through our site. VIELÄ does not retain or receive any of your personal financial information, as all of our orders are processed by a reputable and secure third party credit card processing company. Can you create custom pieces for individuals?

Fully custom designs are available for weddings, anniversaries or other special occasions. Contact us if your favorite colors or gemstones differ from the ones shown on our website, or if you have another natural inspiration that you'd like to see crafted just for you.

Do you offer custom design for charities, companies, or foundations?

Fully custom designs are available to museums, botanical gardens, arboretums, conservatories, charities, corporations, foundations and retailers. Custom jewelry, corporate gifts, and awards are a few of the options. The custom design service can incorporate natural elements sampled directly from, or special to, the grounds of a property, or can be newly conceptualized, infused with a natural element.

Do you repair jewelry?

We do not offer repair, ring sizing or stringing services for non VIELÄ items. Please visit your local jeweler or goldsmith for these services.

What if I lose one earring?

First off, please always use the plastic ear guard that is provided with each pair of earrings. This will prevent your earring from lifting out as a scarf or collar may accidentally bump it. If you happen to lose an earring, please contact us.  As our designs change, we do not carry back stock on discontinued items. However, if you have an earring from one of our current collections, and we have it in inventory, we will quote a replacement price.

Where can I see your jewelry in person?

VIELÄ jewelry is primarily sold in museum stores, cultural institutions, gift shops, and galleries throughout the United States. Please visit our Retailers to see our work in person.  In addition, we attend a few local shows each year. Take a look at our Events for a listing of the upcoming show dates.

How do I care for and clean my jewelry?

Every online order includes a complimentary mini polishing cloth to help prevent tarnish and maintain the original luster of your jewelry. However, please refer to the Jewelry Care section of our website for specific guidelines. You will also receive a Jewelry Use and Care Card to instruct you on how to care for your jewelry. 

Do you offer a printed catalog?

A printed or PDF catalog is available only to Retailers interested in evaluating our work for their shop.  If you are a Retailer, please submit your information through the Wholesale Inquiry Form.
